Registered Nurse Case Managers & Medical Case Management Services

SERVICES REQUIRING:

Medical Case Management

ORN’s Nurse Case Managers are Licensed Registered Nurses with significant clinical experience in medical case management and professional industry certifications such as Certified Case Manager (CCM) and Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN). We are experts at finding therapeutic value, enhancing quality of care, and affecting positive outcomes on your behalf.

Our Registered Nurse Case Managers will:

  • Advocate, communicate and manage resources to facilitate high quality and cost effective care.
  • Seamlessly transition clients across care settings and among multiple professionals for optimal care coordination.
  • Identify the most relevant treatment programs for each individual’s needs.
  • Assess return to work options and ensure that the treatment team is aware of the employee’s work demands and goals.
  • Coordinate employee’s transition back to work.

Creating confidence for you to optimize care and plan for the current and future needs of individuals who have experienced catastrophic injury.

You should immediately assign a field nurse case manager in any of the following situations:

  • Catastrophic injuries such as Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputation, and Burn Injury.
  • Complex medical conditions that have the potential to negatively impact recovery:  hypertension, diabetes, obesity, age and prior injuries.
  • “Creeping Catastrophic” claims ……  someone is just not improving as would be expected based on the initial diagnosis.

The Nurse Case Manager should be a Licensed Registered Nurse with extensive clinical experience. Look for professional designations such as Certified Case Manager (CCM) and Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurse (CRRN) which demonstrate that the nurse case manager has met the highest level of industry standards and clinical expertise.

A Nurse Case Manager will advocate, communicate and manage resources to facilitate high quality and cost-effective care. A good case manager is identifying treatment options before you need them so there is no delay in treatment. Imagine if you are discharged from the hospital late on a Friday afternoon and once you get home, you realize that your medication or your durable medical equipment hasn’t been delivered…a field nurse case manager will ensure that this doesn’t happen.

A Medical Nurse Case Manager can assist with the management of medical claims and care for the following areas:

  • Workers’ Comp
  • Occupational Health Claims
  • Nursing Home Care
  • Home Health
  • Public Health
  • And more…

We also offer certified life care planner services to assist with lifetime care cost estimates and more.
